This week we had two new brothers join the group, a pair of dachshunds called Hugo and Winston who are both 15 months old.
Their owners have just moved to the Chorlton area so unfortunately, their usual dog walker was unable to carry on taking them out. they have a lot to get used to, new house, new area new walker and new doggy friends but thankfully they were very friendly and affectionate when I first went to visit them, and were very excited when they went out on their first walks with us. They both were a little nervous some days but once they were out exploring and mooching they were very happy pooches 🙂 and showed their appreciation by jumping all over me back home and licking me!
Hugo and Winston will be out with us every other week and will hopefully settle in to their new surroundings in no time. Here are a few pics of the cheeky duo…
A big welcome to this little cutie Leo, the Jack Russell who is 1 year old and very lovable!
Leo joined us today on a group walk and he thoroughly enjoyed himself! He went out with the 2 Dexters and Mickey, and he was so excited to have a set of new pooch pals. He’s a fast little runner too for such short legs – Dexter the schnauzer was out-run on some occasions!
Mickey loves him too and he always shows a bit more fondness when he meets his own kind – I was hoping for a little JRT for this reason.
Here are some pics of him in action…
Lola is an eight year old retired greyhound, and joined us for her first walk today! We went to Longford Park with Mickey, Barney and Bella who are all of similar age and enjoyed each others company. She was very excited when I arrived!
Lola walks very nice and calm but was eyeing up all the squirrels in the park .Thankfully she didn’t go mad to pull for them.
Here are some pics of Lola and as you can see she is a beauty! I’ll look forward to taking her out on more walks and introducing her to new pooch pals along the way.
This very cute little puppy is called Rolfie, who at 4 months old is my youngest pooch on walks! Rolfie is a black Cocker Spaniel and he came on his first walk and followed Mickey, all around the park who was very accommodating as he was jumping all over him 🙂
Rolfie was bouncing along happily and stopping for little breaks as his legs are not quite strong enough to keep up the pace. He had plenty of “AWS” and “Isn’t he cute” from passers-by.
Here are some pics of little rolfie…
We have another schnauzer joining the fun, and another Dexter!
Dexter came on his first walk today, and I thought i would ease him in gently by introducing him to my Mickey and Tilly. He was a bit unsure when I picked him up as his regular walker has now moved away. I have met him on a couple of occasions to arrange his walks so he kind of recognised me. Once he got to the park though he was enjoying himself and having loads of fun.
Dexter will be on regular weekly walks so I’ll look forward to taking him out and building on our friendship! It’s going to be confusing when our other Dexter comes back on his walks as he is just on a break at present.

If Batman has his bat mobile then Dogman (as I’ve been referred to when collecting our lovely pooches) can have his!
Although it won’t have super gadgets, the new mobile has been undergoing some changes to make the journey for your pooches even more enjoyable! It will be fitted with a padded waterproof flooring, and large cages with a comfortable surface which will have water bowls attached for a drink after a good run and play in the park. It is a smooth drive so will be picking all your hounds up in due course. Here are some sneaky pics of the mobile…
This is Basil the black Schnauzer, who joined us on his first walk today, and he loved every minute! Basil isn’t supposed to be out on his walks properly until early September, however, his owner has suggested some early walks so that he is ready for his regular walks with the rest of the gang.
Basil is a lovely little pooch and has a cute little bouncy walk. He loves to say hello to other dogs on the park, and he came along with Mickey and Scout who had a little play of ball with him. As with the first day I met him, he loves his little treats and sits nicely for one.
I can see we’re going to get on and I’m sure he’ll love meeting some new pals over the next few weeks! Here are some pics of Basil in action…
We had a new member to the gang today – Tilly!
Tilly is a 3-year-old golden Labrador, who joined us on her first walk today. I met with Tilly’s owners yesterday, and had a good chat about her and we decided to start the walks from today.
I took her to Longford Park with Mickey, and she had a good time mooching, sniffing and enjoying the sights! To begin with she will be on her lead so we can build on her trust and recall, and we’ll introduce her to new pooch pals very soon.
Here are some pics from today, and there will be more over the next few weeks.
