A big welcome along to the gang for Bouncing Boris, who is a cute silky brown Cocker Spaniel!
I met Boris and his owner a few weeks back prior to their move over to Sale, which happened over the weekend. Boris joined us for his first walk today, and despite all the stress with moving and new surroundings he hit the ground running and bouncing about!
He was very cagey when I first met him which I was told he is like with most new people he meets. No worries on that score though after a couple of treats and a run around Wythenshawe Park with Mickey, Monty and Smokey, I was his new best friend.
Boris will get to meet more new pooch pals and explore new areas over the next few weeks so look out for pics of him soon.
Mickey has been needing his haircut for weeks now and I’ve been meaning to arrange it for a while. I have previously called in to Wags when passing by in Sale, and liked the look of this place. They did not disappoint at all. when I collected him I was so impressed with how he had been cut – it took years off him he looked like a puppy. I think he knew he looked smart as he was craving attention all night in a “look at me” kind of way. He’s been quite giddy too recently as if a lot of weight has been taken off him. He was always rubbing his face with his paws as I think his beard and eyebrows were getting in the way.
Wags is based on Cross Street which is the main busy road that leads into Sale. It is on the right and side if you were coming from Stretford way, and on the left and side if you were heading towards the city centre. There is street parking across the road from Wags, or it may be easier to park at the back to save having to cross the busy road.
Here are the before and after pictures for Mickey…
Today, we welcome friendly Fred to our walks! I met Fred who is a black and white Cocker Spaniel, over the weekend and he was adorable and playful so I knew what to expect when I picked him up. He was very excited and couldn’t wait to get out. We went to Sale Water Park and through the fields at the back and up to the top of the River Mersey Brook. Mickey and another cocker spaniel, Elsa came along too, and they hit it off straight away playing chase and playing with a tennis ball.
Fred is my only canine client in the Sale area as other pooches are from Chorlton, Fallowfield and Didsbury areas, so I will need to pick others up first before getting to Fred. If there are any pooches from Sale, eager to join Fred on his walks then get in touch – remember it’s 10% discount for the first 4 weeks!
