Welcome to dogs buddy, Fred!

Welcome to FredToday, we welcome friendly Fred to our walks! I met Fred who is a black and white Cocker Spaniel, over the weekend and he was adorable and playful so I knew what to expect when I picked him up. He was very excited and couldn’t wait to get out. We went to Sale Water Park and through the fields at the back and up to the top of the River Mersey Brook. Mickey and another cocker spaniel, Elsa came along too, and they hit it off straight away playing chase and playing with a tennis ball.

Fred is my only canine client in the Sale area as other pooches are from Chorlton, Fallowfield and Didsbury areas, so I will need to pick others up first before getting to Fred. If there are any pooches from Sale, eager to join Fred on his walks then get in touch – remember it’s 10% discount for the first 4 weeks!

Welcome, 2 new pooches

Welcome to dogs buddy, Sephy!

Welcome to Dogs Buddy!
Welcome to Dogs Buddy!

A very big welcome to Sephy, who joined Dogs Buddy on her first walk today! Sephy (full name Persephone) is a lovely Beddlington Terrier full of character. I came to meet her owner’s house and she was very sweet and quiet. I soon found out today though that Sephy is a real terrier under that ‘butter wouldn’t melt’ look 🙂 She loves to play chase, do playful barking and run at the geese and ducks who who were enjoying the sun in Chorlton Water Park . We were out for over an hour and she loved every minute! Plenty more of that on our future walks.  20130316_123952

A walk around Platt Fields Park

Platt Fields ParkIt’s been a while since I last gave a place to visit so I thought I would include this park as I do love a walk around this one. Platt Fields Park is a large public park off Wilmslow Road in Rusholme, Manchester, England. It is home to Platt Hall, and was originally known as the Platt Estate or the Platt Hall Estate. Fallowfield lies to the south and the Wilmslow Road runs along its eastern edge.

I have been during then weekends but just lately I’ve included some of my dog walks here, and it’s been nice a peaceful to walk around during the week days. I usually start from the car park and walk through the gardens at the back which then leads on to a path that goes up to, and past the costume gallery. From here you can walk along the path which leads up to the university football playing fields. There is plenty of space here to play ball or even sit around and enjoy the sun on the warmer days. Depending on hoe long you wish to stay out for you can either walk the circle of the park by walking by the fence of the football grounds, or head over a small bridge which will lead you to the lake. I tend to walk around the whole of the park, and leave the lake until last. You can definately gian a 1 hour walk and even more by doing this.

Facilities in the park include a couple of childrens play areas, bowling green, BMX track, basketball and tennis courts, and a picnic area. There are usually events arranged throughout the year which you can find on the website.

It’s definately worth a visit whenever you’re nearby the Fallowfield area.

Welcome, cheeky Charlie!

Hello Charlie! This cheeky little chappie is called Charlie, a very lovely 8 month old Springer Spaniel! He came with us on his first walk today, and had bags of energy as you might expect at his tender age. He is my youngest client so he will definitely keep me on my feet. I discovered that Charlie likes to play in leaves, chase sticks and play with other dogs. He also likes to chase the ball…he just doesn’t like to give it me back! Charlie is also friends with Rosie the labradoodle and Barney and Bella, so he’ll have no problem on days out with the other pooches although I somehow think Rosie may be his age range for continuous play! Watch out for more updates on Charlie’s adventures!

Welcome along to the fun, Rocky!

Welcome Rocky! This handsome chappie is Rocky, who joined Dogs Buddy on his first walk today, and loved every minute! I usually see Rocky and his owner in the small local park as he plays with Mickey most mornings. Rocky loves to chase for sticks and explore. We went to Longford Park where he met some other doggy friends and played along with them in the sun. He didn’t want to come back home by the end of his walk but he was certainly worn out from all his excitement.  Mickey and Rocky

A big welcome to Elsa!

Hello to ElsaA big welcome to Elsa, the lovely black cocker spaniel! Elsa!

Elsa joined us for her first walk and we went around Longford Park. Elsa loves to have a good sniff around and enjoy a bit of chasing a ball or a stick. She looked a bit scared of other big dogs that came over to say hello but saw them off with a playful bark. Mickey came along too and enjoyed her company. I think he’s getting used to all this female attention from our other female doggy clients 🙂

A big welcome to Cleo!

Welome Cleo!Dogs Buddy gives a big welcome to cute little Cleo, shown in the picture on the left. Cleo is a lovely little Jack-a-poo and joined us on a couple of walks today, and will be along for more walks and play during this week, and the weekend!

Mickey was also pleased to see her and they played ball together, and must be loving all this female attention. At least Cleo was more his size as his other lady friends do tower over him!
